Champion Payouts

Champion Payouts are the overall tournament prizes — separate from the per-day prizes — awarded to the top finishers based on their cumulative score across all days. They are funded by the Sponsor Seed.

Fixed Dollar Mode

Enter a specific dollar amount for each place (1st through 5th). The amounts are independent of the sponsor seed total.

Set Payout Mode to Fixed $.
Enter the Number of Prize Places (1–5).
Optionally click a Prize Preset button to auto-fill common distributions (e.g., 60/30/10). The active preset is highlighted; editing any amount manually clears the active state. Tourlyx detects and restores the matching preset on page load if your saved amounts match a known preset.
Enter or adjust the dollar amount for each place.
The system shows total committed vs. Sponsor Seed available.
Click Save Champion Payouts.

Percentage Mode

Enter a percentage of the Sponsor Seed for each place. Dollar amounts are calculated automatically and update whenever the seed total changes.

Set Payout Mode to % of Sponsor Seed.
Enter the Number of Prize Places (1–10).
Enter a percentage for each place. All percentages must total 100%.
Optionally click Distribute Evenly to apply the standard payout curve (40 / 25 / 20 / 10 / 5%).
Calculated dollar values appear beside each percentage.
Click Save Champion Payouts.

Funding Indicator

A live banner above the payout fields compares your total committed champion payouts against the current Sponsor Seed total, updating immediately as you edit either figure — no page refresh needed.

Fully funded (green): total champion payouts are at or below the Sponsor Seed.
Not fully funded (red): payouts exceed available funds, with the exact shortfall shown.

Note: This same funding check appears in the Setup Wizard's Champion Payouts step (Chapter 1). It is advisory only — it does not block you from saving payouts that exceed the Sponsor Seed.

Include Champion Prizes in Financial Summary

The Include in Summary toggle controls whether champion prize winnings appear in the per-golfer Financial Summary P&L rows.

Toggle ON: Champion prize winnings appear in each golfer’s bottom-line P&L.
Toggle OFF: Champion prizes appear only in the Champion Standings tab and are excluded from P&L. Use this when you pay champions separately outside the main financial settlement.

Tip: If your sponsor seed changes after prizes are set (e.g., a last-minute sponsor joins), dollar values in Percentage Mode update automatically. In Fixed Mode you must update the amounts manually.
